FAQ
FAQ – Frequently asked questions
Is there a possibility to test your service without obligations?
Of course!
Just register and upload a track that you would like to get mastered. After a short period you will receive a message with the Downloadlink to the mastered demo (1-2-min. play time).
Unfortunately we cannot make demo mixes this way. Contact us and we certainly come to an agreement!
In which format should my basic material (Mixdown) be uploaded and in which format do I get it back (Mastering)?
We accept WAV, AIFF and MP3 files. We advise to renounce a MP3 version, because of the the loss-afflicted compression. If you still want to use the MP3 file format, please generate them with at least 192 kbit/s stereo (320 kbit/s stereo is better).
In case of a WAV or AIFF files, we advise to upload with 44.1 khz and 24 bit. Please do not bounce with compressors, limiters or equalizers and ensure there is a gap up to 3-5dB in the stereo sum (Headroom).
We deliver a 16 bit / 44.1 khz WAV file which can be directly used for Audio-CD. Of course we can deliver other formats too.
If you still have any questions, simply send a mail to kontakt@187.de. It is a pleasure for us to answer all your questions.
I am not satisfied with the result. What now?
Please explain exactly what you do not like to help us understand your wishes better. A reference song could help us to find your target sound. If there still is no satisfactory result after the second master, you can get your money back.
How do I download my audio files in the browser?
If a media player should open in your browser simply click on „file“-> „save page“.
Which formats should have my mixdowns?
As in case of mastering we prefer 24 bit / 44.1 khz files WAV/AIFF.
